I paid Safelite $500 to replace my windshield on 7/21/26. For the rest of the week, the electronics behaved strangely. On 7/25, the vehicle would no longer start. One of Safelite's techs, plus my Toyota dealership, determined that water had leaked into the truck via a faulty seal on the new windshield. We discovered corrosion in electrical wires that was overdrawing the battery. Safelite was notified of this issue the week of 7/27/26. By 8/12/26 (almost 3 weeks later) I still did not have my truck. Safelite seemed to be dragging their feet with soliciting and approving the repair estimate, using me as a middleman between themselves and the dealership, and overall giving me the runaround with accepting the repair estimate. The faulty repair came from the Durham Safelite office, but the Raleigh Safelite office made the official diagnosis at the dealership and began the warranty claim process. Communication with both offices was slow, the managers were nice but difficult to reach by phone, and it felt like responsibility was being passed like a hot potato between Durham, Raleigh, and corporate. While traveling, I realized a rock hit and created a small hole in my windshield. I called my insurance company. While the agent looked at my policy, I called Safelite. They initiated a claim, set me up for an appointment the next morning at the closest Safelite shop. We got that all arranged before my agent called me back! Safelite did the work in less time than estimated and it looks great. If the repair fails, they will make it right. But I bet I don’t need them for this windshield damage again. Great service. Great job. I had the same experience using their mobile service for a different vehicle several years ago. Highly recommend them.

This installation was incredibly easy from start to finish! I called to book an appointment, and they were able to come out just a few days later. They even completed the repair right in the parking lot at my workplace, which was extremely convenient. The installation was clean and professionally done, and everything turned out great. My only suggestion would be to make sure all of the small pieces of debris created during the replacement are cleaned up before leaving.

Safelite Auto Glass replaced my windshield and they provided excellent customer service from start to finish. Their employees were professional, courteous, and very polite throughout the process. They worked with my schedule to coordinate a convenient service date, and the technician arrived as promised on a day that was agreeable to me. I truly appreciated their efficiency and professionalism. Justin the installer. did an outstanding job installing my windshield. He was professional, courteous, and took pride in his work.

Stay away from this place! This is a zero stars review. I came in for a windshield replacement on the 28 Feb 2026 for my Nissan 350 Z, but the technician broke driver side panel A molding for my vehicle. He had the audacity to call it "just a cosmetic bro". The manager who was not on site called me later and assured me that they will have this fixed when the replacement part comes in. Fast forward 21 Mar 2026, the part that was supposed to replace the broken one was the incorrect one according to the tech and could not perform the repairs. So he said that he will talk to the manager about it and so the appointment was cancelled. Now I called Safelite CS on the 08 Apr 2026 to see if there has been progress on the new part, but the CS representative could not reach the manager and assured me that an escalation email would be sent. It is 23 Apr 2026 at the time of this writing and I have not heard anything from CS or manager. Everyone stay away from this place, they do not respect you, your time, and your property! Stay away from Safelite in general as this is how they conduct business!
